What I love most about couple’s sessions— engagements, anniversaries, just-because photos— is that they offer you a time-out from the routine of daily life and give you both a chance to really see and savor each other again. No distractions or deadlines or dishes.

With Kathryn + Casey, we made sure to include some hiking and candid photos with their adorable dogs among the Texas bluebonnets. These two are so laid back and fun-spirited, but their love for each other is fierce and undeniable. I feel so lucky to have witnessed it.

The beauty of a couple’s lifestyle session is that you have this rare chance to pause life and get reentered on one another in a way that feels natural and reaffirming. You fall in love all over again doing what you love while also getting beautiful photos that celebrate the life you share together and capture the moment.

It’s important that we make time for each other and document it. Engagement sessions only come around once, but your love changes and strengthens every year thereafter. All those in-between years matter just as much.
